003/100Day3 of my #100dayproject2020 I combined many years worth of video into the digital gumbo for your viewing pleasure 004/100This one is my ohsocurrent favorite.
i used the app PowerDirector to edit this one. Video collage #100ArtVideos #100dayproject2020 I decided to create a gallery wall to display all of my recent artworks.
Today I haphazardly hung 2r & counting... A personal goal that also nourishes my artwork is to spend more Intentional time outside.
My family and I love spending time together in nature. It has always been a place of holy sanctuary. . In the past, I got it into my head that I wasn't "doing it" right. I wasn't sketching or painting enough outside. But I recently realized that I want to Actually enjoy my time and spend less time being critical of how I am showing up. If I have my watercolors and sketchbook at hand, plus the ability to use them, then yes. I will celebrate and honor the privilege of working on location. BUT if I don't have my sketchbook + pencils, or if I am with my family, then I will relax into the experience and enjoy time SPENT. Both practices have so much potential. Neither one is better than the other. . . . Also, If I don't have time to sketch while there, it is usually a perfect time to capture photographs for inspiration and rejuvenation alike at a later date. #kathryneide #whataview #trojanpark #lifeofapainter #femaleartist #artisticramblings #showingup #onlythismomentisreal The first painting in this set is now available for purchase.
It was released as part of my | Australia : Endangered | series. 70% of proceeds from the sales of that series will be donated to World Wildlife fund. The second painting is a work in progress and has already transformed into a different land since I photographed it. The third painting I am considering a success. I love the way it turned out. The colors and composition bring me a lot of joy. I have been playing with more minimal compositions and nuanced details in my recent works. To accomplish your big audacious dreams, you first need to be clear on what you are after.
. Next create a DETAILED plan of action, describing all the steps you will take to make it a reality. . Then figure out what you are going to sacrifice for your dream. Will it be time, energy, money, sleep, Netflix binges, carbs? Nothing comes from nothing. To realize great goals, one must offer up a comparable exchange. . Become so focused on the fruition of your dream, that you will be undeterred when Life happens (as it inevitably always does). . And the big giant secret to success? Persistence. Consistent INTENTIONAL action with the end at the front of your mind. One foot in front of the other, day in and day out. . You'll be surprised at how quickly the world starts working in your favor, once you decide + commit to the dreams that light your soul on fire. . . #kathryneide . #whataview #trojanpark #lifeofapainter #femaleartist #oregonscenes #getoutside #successmindset #successprinciples I have been narrowing my focus, in my vision for my futur and my artwork.
For years I was hesitant to do this because I was afraid of missing out. But in reality, it has been so dang liberating. I realize now that there was an option paralysis I was experiencing. "So many options, how to choose?!" By focusing, I am able to experiment more and dive deeper with ideas, concepts, and techniques. Coming summer of 2020This summer will see the return of my free art-making events!
Inspired by my Live Art events of 2015. I will be hosting a few all ages events for folks to come and make art in an open and encouraging environment. Supplies will be provided! you are encouraged to come with an open mind and self-motivation, a willingness to just start Making! I will not be leading or teaching any particular style or recreating any one painting. I will be present to help and encourage. But my main motivation in facilitating gatherings is to provide an Opportunity to make and I hold the space for you to experience creation from trial and error with new media, simple explorations on paper, and grand breakthroughs from basic tasks given total focus. I will also be hosting a handful of events that will have a ticket price. These events will come with more goodies, snacks and more expensive art materials available. I am even looking into having Live Musicians playing while people make their artworks. All art made from these events will be for the maker to take home! A perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. Life has sure been crazy lately, wouldn't you agree?
It seems like the more time that passes since 12/21/2012, the faster everything is flying by... |
